i’m a northern-hemispherean?

wow. the holidays went by fast, didn’t they? and for the first time, i feel Relief that they are done. does this mean i am an adult now?

for example: Relief that i can go back to a regularly-priced life and not have to buy lots of things.

for example: Relief at choosing my own schedule.

for example: Relief in finally snuggling with my cat, reading my book, and sitting under a heavy quilt.

speaking of wintery things, who else is hating on winter this year? shit! fall in minnesota was splendid, as i remembered per childhood. winter in minnesota is sub-zero temperatures and nasty slushy dirty snow. i’ve stopped even wearing works shoes to work, and only wear boots. but, my boots are seriously eroding after five years of use. which brings me to my latest lust in life: winter footwear. more specifically: mukluks. does anyone want to buy me some?!

oh boy, do I want some of these beauties. I think I like “Terra” the best. (but does that surprise anyone?)

in other news, only two nights this week did i actually go to bed before midnight. So much for resolutions.

onwards with winter then. good luck, fellow northern-hemisphereans.

here they are:

1) stop getting crabby and upset over housework. it’s only daily life.

2) go to sleep (not just BED) before midnight on worknights.

3) eat all the vegetables featured in our Martha Stewart cookbook (this is carried over from last year).

4) Run a 10k.

welp. I already broke #2. Here’s hoping.
